Security Guard - Mall Roving Driver

As a Security Guard - Mall Roving Driver in SPANAWAY, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols indoors and outdoors, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist shoppers and associates with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and contacting law enforcement and/or medical services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances and exits, parking areas, cart corrals, and perimeter routes.
• Help to deter theft, disorderly conduct, and other unwanted activity through high-visibility presence, proactive engagement, and timely reporting.
• Monitor access points, observe for suspicious behavior, and assist with closing and/or opening routines according to post orders.
• Complete shift activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation with accurate details and timely submission.
• Operate site communications and monitoring tools as assigned, including radios, telephones, and/or video systems, and relay information to management and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support store staff with security-related calls for service such as customer disturbances, lost and found, and escort requests.
• Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor while enforcing site rules and directing guests to appropriate resources.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
