Security Officer - Mall Rover Driver

As a Security Officer - Mall Rover Driver in Manhattan Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail mall location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support guests and tenants with professional service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license in line with Allied Universal driver policy. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail mall location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, lost and found matters and/or tenant concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, corridors, parking areas, loading zones and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and observe foot traffic for unusual conditions, reporting concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete routine reports, patrol logs and incident documentation per site requirements, using clear and accurate written communication.
• Provide assistance to shoppers, tenants and visitors with directions, information and de-escalation support when needed.
• Communicate by radio and/or phone with Allied Universal team members and site contacts to coordinate responses and relay status updates.
• Support site opening and closing activities as assigned, including checking doors, gates and key areas for irregular conditions.
• Observe cameras and alarm indicators when assigned, and initiate notifications and response steps per site procedures.
• Participate in required training and follow post orders and site-specific policies at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
