As a Security Officer - Bank Patrol Part-Time in Pennsauken, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to alarms and access control activity, and document observations with clear communication. You will support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors while working as part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disputes, medical events, and suspicious activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including lobbies, offices, hallways, stairwells, ATMs, and the exterior perimeter, as permitted by site policy.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions that may help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or damage to property.
  • Assist with access control by checking identification and/or credentials when required, and directing visitors to the appropriate area per site procedures.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and/or other security-related systems where assigned, and report irregularities according to post orders.
  • Document observations, patrol activity, incidents, and/or policy violations in written reports and daily activity logs.
  • Communicate with staff, management, and local emergency services as needed, relaying accurate information and following established notification protocols.
  • Provide a visible presence at the location to help to deter unwanted activity and support a professional environment.
  • Participate in routine drills, briefings, and training as directed, and comply with Allied Universal and site-specific policies while on post.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
