Job Description




As a Security Guard - Unarmed Property Patrol in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help to discourage security-related incidents. You will monitor assigned areas, respond to alarms and/or tenant concerns, and provide clear, professional communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of building common areas, stairwells, corridors, exterior grounds, and parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and assist with access control processes, including verifying credentials, directing visitors, and documenting entries and exits per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or medical emergencies, and requesting assistance when needed.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, intrusion alarms, and fire panels, and initiate site notifications and response steps according to post orders.
  • Complete routine inspections of doors, gates, loading areas, and perimeter points, and report maintenance concerns that could impact security-related operations.
  • Write clear, timely reports including incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant updates to site management and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Assist with crowd and/or traffic flow during peak arrival and departure times, deliveries, special events, and other high-activity periods.
  • Support tenant and property management requests within post orders, including escorting authorized persons as directed and documenting service calls and observations.
  • Maintain a professional presence, follow site policies and Allied Universal standards, and participate in required training and briefings.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
