Job Description




As a Security Officer - Data Center Patrol Driver in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support guests and employees with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post, so you may operate a vehicle to cover larger areas, respond to calls for assistance, and help maintain smooth day-to-day operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout studio and office areas, production support spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Perform visitor management functions, including sign-in processes, issuing temporary badges, and directing visitors to approved locations.
  • Control entry and exit of vehicles at designated gates and/or loading areas, following site-specific traffic flow and delivery procedures.
  • Observe and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized access attempts, and/or policy violations, escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, including times, locations, and actions taken, per site requirements.
  • Communicate via radio, phone, and/or electronic systems with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership to coordinate incident response and routine operations.
  • Support emergency response activities such as evacuations and shelter-in-place procedures as directed by site-specific protocols.
  • Conduct routine checks of doors, alarms, and restricted areas, reporting maintenance issues and/or irregularities through the appropriate channels.
  • Provide professional interaction with employees, talent, guests, and vendors while maintaining post orders and site confidentiality expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
