Security Officer - Warehouse Roving Patrol

As a Security Officer - Warehouse Roving Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to reported concerns, and communicate clearly with site teams, drivers, and visitors while providing strong customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to onsite staff, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse and distribution areas, including exterior perimeter, parking areas, and vehicle and trailer lots. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points such as employee entrances, shipping and receiving doors, and yard gates, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or restricted area access.
• Verify identification, visitor logs, and delivery documentation per post orders, directing individuals to the appropriate check-in and/or staging areas.
• Observe loading dock and yard activity for unusual conditions, reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations to site leadership.
• Perform security-related checks of doors, locks, fences, lighting, and alarm panels when assigned, documenting deficiencies and/or maintenance needs.
• Operate CCTV and/or other monitoring systems when assigned, noting unusual activity and communicating observations to the appropriate contacts.
• Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and daily activity reports, maintaining accurate documentation and timely communication.
• Assist with traffic flow and truck routing within the facility grounds when assigned, supporting orderly movement at gates, docks, and staging areas.
• Maintain a professional presence while interacting with associates, contractors, and drivers, helping to deter disruptions and/or disorderly conduct.
• Follow Allied Universal post orders and client site policies, participating in required training and briefings and using provided communication equipment as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having customer service experience is preferred.
• Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
