As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and reported concerns, document observations, and support staff and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and prompt notification of site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout government office areas, including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter as assigned.
- Control access by monitoring entry points, checking identification and/or credentials when directed, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations in accordance with site procedures.
- Monitor alarms, radios, cameras, and other security-related systems and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns following post orders.
- Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, patrol activity, and/or policy violations, and assist with preserving information for administrative and/or law enforcement follow-up.
- Support orderly operations by enforcing site rules, maintaining a professional presence, and helping to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or disruptive behavior.
- Assist with emergency procedures such as evacuations, shelter-in-place, and building lockdown protocols as directed by site leadership and/or responders.
- Coordinate with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership to communicate shift pass-down information and respond to changing conditions and/or special assignments.
Minimum Requirements: - - Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- - Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- - Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
- - Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- - Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
- - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
