As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and requesting additional resources when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior corridors, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at designated points by checking credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and assisting with visitor management practices per site policy.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, and/or other security-related systems as assigned, and report unusual activity promptly through established communication channels.
  • Complete security-related reports and activity logs with accurate, timely details, including incident documentation and shift handoff information.
  • Provide directions and general assistance, including helping route people to appropriate departments and/or resources while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Identify and report hazards, unsecured doors, damaged property, and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel per site procedures.
  • Support emergency procedures such as fire alarms, medical alerts, and/or disaster response by following post orders and coordinating with site leadership and first responders.
  • Maintain a visible presence and professional demeanor, follow post orders, and communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
