Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy Weekends

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced Gastroenterology Lab/Endoscopy and Interventional Pulmonology team. RNs rotate between pre-op, intra-op and PACU.

This is a full-time 36-hour per week position: three consecutive 12-hour shifts (Fri-Sat-Sun or Sat-Sun-Mon). There is a premium weekend differential for this schedule.

This position offers the opportunity to be cross trained for our Interventional Pulmonology services and the team functions as one unit taking care of GI and IP patients in both PreOp and PACU.

Our experienced, enthusiastic, welcoming team works with both inpatients and outpatients performing advanced endoscopic and pulmonary procedures on adults and pediatrics.

RN Endoscopy Qualification:

• Experience - 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse-
  One year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an OR fellowship. If PACU Nurse, one year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience is required.

• Certification - Basic Life Support through AHA

• Licensure - Licensed Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse

• Education-Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Associate's Degree. If RN has an Associate's Degree, Complete BSN within 5 years of start date

RN Endoscopy preferred qualifications:

• 2+ years RN experience to include at least 1 year of Endoscopy, procedural, PACU, ICU or ED
