Your Opportunity as the Manager, Information Services, AFH

This position manages the Information Services (IS) team responsible for the delivery of key applications and technologies that enable go-to-market trade strategies across the Away From Home (AFH) business area. Partners with the Away From Home business teams to understand and deliver on key commercial drivers and strategic plans. Develops and sustains strong relationships across all levels of the AFH Sales, Revenue Growth Management, Analytics, Equipment & Services, and related support functions. Manages a team of Analysts and Developers responsible for activities related to the planning, design, development, and implementation of the organization's information systems and software applications in the foodservice space to drive effective business outcomes. Accountable for seamless delivery of solutions within the Trade Promotion Management, Customer Relationship Management and Field Service platforms. Applies leadership, influencing and relational skills to resolve significant issues as they arise. Oversees the collection of all IS demand from multiple cross-functional business areas and ensures that the demand is effectively prioritized. Develops and maintains relationships with key IS and extended leadership to facilitate the effective delivery of all IS enabled initiatives. Optimizes run model support to reduce reliance on IS for self-service tools and encourages automations that can limit support activities.

Location: Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron)

Work Arrangements: Hybrid - onsite a minimum of 9 days a month primarily during core weeks as determined by the Company; maybe more as business need requires

In this role you will:

People Management

  • Create and sustain a culture of growth by providing oversight, leading, motivating, coaching and developing a team of IS professionals made up of varying levels of experience and skill. Provide a consistent approach to setting performance objectives, managing work assignments, reviewing individual performance, giving timely feedback, supporting career growth, and managing the 'whole' person.

Business Relationship Management

  • Partner with the Away From Home organization to define a technology roadmap of initiatives addressing highest priority business opportunities.

  • Serve as point of contact for all technology-related initiatives with Sales Operations, Revenue Growth Management, Analytics and Equipment & Services functions in Away From Home.

  • Provide thought leadership for the use of technology and data to solve business problems.

  • Continuously evaluate and communicate clear milestones based on business priorities across projects, incidents, and business operations.

  • Reduce reliance on IS by using self-service tools and champions process refinement to best utilize the toolchain, limiting customizations and support engagements.

Software Integrations, Run Model and Resourcing

  • Accountable for timely completion of team deliverables, primarily through integrations to and from software-as-a-service platforms serving Away From Home business users. Supervise progress and oversee adherence to schedules and specifications. Identify and address potential obstacles, issues, and opportunities. Periodically review designs for compliance with requirements and regulations.

  • Manage annual software spend while continuously forecasting and reviewing spend to maximize company resources.

  • Oversee, plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of the organization's information systems and software applications in the Away From Home space to drive effective business outcomes.

  • Develop and execute plans to flow the right level of skilled resources to support strategic priorities of the organization's projects. Produce workload estimates and capacitated work plans that deliver to project milestones.

  • Champion concepts and theories of sound analytic & development practices, techniques, tools and solutions across the team. Collaborate with other leaders to establish and maintain integrity in architecture, policies, standards and guidelines.

  • Demonstrate the capability to solve unique and complex problems by applying critical thinking patterns. Apply a broad perspective to identify creative and innovative solutions.

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • At least 1 year of experience managing others or managing work through others

  • Strong business acumen

  • Exposure and/or working knowledge of systems development lifecycle, IT General Controls, PII/PCI risk mitigation and quality assurance

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • High personal standards of integrity

  • Bias for action and results

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role (not required):

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, Salesforce CRM and TELUS Trade Promotion Management software

  • Experience on how to best leverage SaaS, PaaS and IaaS for ideal tool selection creating optimized user experiences and business self-service support frameworks
