Senior Cloud Architect
Job description
*Looking for candidates to go onsite in downtown Washington, DC 3 days a week*
- Architecting and implementing cloud-native and hybrid solutions. Serve as a technical anchor and architectural lead across Agile teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business goals.
- Facilitate architectural decision-making during Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Leading technical engagements and translating business requirements into robust architectural designs. Define and maintain solution architecture blueprints, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across cloud-native and hybrid environments
- Lead the evaluation and selection of technology stacks, frameworks, and integration patterns, particularly for microservices, APIs, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) .
- Provide hands-on support for critical components, including code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Promoting enterprise integration standards and reusable patterns.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including UX, QA, and business stakeholders, to ensure cohesive and user-centric solutions
- Proven software development experience, ideally as a senior developer or technical lead, with a track record of delivering scalable and secure solutions.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, as well as experience with microservices, APIs, and DevSecOps practices.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices.

- Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to define sprint goals, prioritize backlog items, and ensure architectural considerations are embedded in sprint planning
