Additional Information: About the Department The Department of Marketing is the second-largest department in the Walton College and offers a B.S.B.A., an M.S., and a Ph.D. in Marketing. Our faculty are active research scholars who publish in premier journals and have received numerous college-wide awards for excellence in both research and teaching. The department leads two major strategic initiatives-sales and retail-and hosts a large internal collegiate sales competition as well as a shopper marketing brand challenge supported by partners including Walmart, Tyson Foods, General Mills, Kimberly-Clark, Cintas, Fastenal, PepsiCo, TTI/Hart, Hershey's, Hallmark, and Del Monte. We also work closely with the Retail Advisory Board on curriculum and program development. The department is an active member of the Southeast Marketing Symposium (SMS) and has placed its Ph.D. graduates at leading universities throughout the nation.
