The Digital Modernization Sector has a career opportunity for an Innovation and Transformation Lead at Ft Meade, Maryland starting March 2026. This is a hybrid position allowing 75% remote work, but candidates must be within commuting distance of Ft Meade (or prepared to self-relocate).

This position will support the DISA GSM-O Task Order 09 Network Assurance (NA) Program. GSM-O II provides network operations and cyber defense support to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in support of the DoD and CoCOMs. The candidate will support the DISA GSM-O II Network Assurance (NA) Program Leadership as the TN09 DISA Innovation and Transformation Manager in Ft Meade, MD. Primary duties consist of reviewing and assessing DoD, Federal, and Commercial cybersecurity policies, directives, guidelines, DoD initiatives, and governance processes to ensure the DISA CSSP Program Management Office (PMO) follows all regulatory requirements. Assisting the Portfolio Management Team with the development of rates for CSSP services; the Strategic Development Team with understating strategic initiatives implemented by DoD CIO, USCYBERCOM andDCDC. Other duties include projects assigned directly by the Chief of CSSP Services, which consists of the development of executive briefings, and advising on cybersecurity policies and directives. Candidate must be able to partner successfully across multiple time zones working closely with TN09 Program Manager, Deputy, Service Delivery Manager, Government Contract Representative, and other Government Leadership throughout the Agency.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research approved transformational and innovative solutions and recommend improvements to DCO capabilities
  • Coordinate and collaborate with government stakeholders to help integrate new capabilities into operations
  • Actively participant in meetings with CSSP subscribers and DISA working groups
  • Train and mentor other team members
  • QA/QC work products before they are sent to the customer
  • Develop whitepapers, briefs, SOPs, TTPs, and QRGs to allow for a better, more reliable DCO process
  • Take ownership of driving the operations of the CSSP
  • Conduct and deliver weekly status updates to customer
  • Follow up on all taskers and due outs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 12+ years of professional experience; additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Hold DoD-8570 IAM Level 2 baseline certification (CISM, CISSP CASP, or similiar) to start
  • Proficient understanding of the Cybersecurity Framework in regard to identify, protect, detect, respond and recover within the Cyber Security Service Provider construct
  • Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Subject matter expertise in endpoint defense utilizing Endpoint Defense and Response solutions like Elastic Defend, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, or Carbon Black
  • Subject matter expertise in Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK) system engineering and implementation
  • Subject matter expertise in Monitoring Center Operations
  • Experience supporting DISA CSSP subscriber and provider validation programs
  • Experience withextended cyber security analytics
  • Experience with DISA and DoD Networks
  • Demonstrated experience briefing Senior Executive Service (SES) and General Officer/Flag Officer (GO/FO) leadership
  • Advanced Certifications such as SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, CISSP or CASP
  • Experience in intelligence driven defense and/or Cyber Kill Chain
  • Experience in MITRE Frameworks to include ATT&CK
  • Foster and encourage a collaborative environment to champion a cybersecurity culture
