Overview

The Loan Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in executing the end-to-end operational processes that support the acquisition and sale of residential mortgage products. This includes reconciling loan remittances with loan servicers, validating payments for loan buys and sales, and supporting operational processes prior to mortgage securitization.

This role is responsible for performing day-to-day operations for the Whole Loan Trading business. The analyst aims to deliver superior service to internal and/or external clients by adhering to policies and procedures, ensuring high operational standards for service delivery, and mitigating risk.

What You'll Do

  • Lifecycle management for whole loan trades, including funding, settlement, servicing, subservice oversight, and reconciliations

  • Work with the Desk to verify the economic details of booking, funding, purchasing, and settlement, ensuring that the receipt of funds matches risk management details

  • Process risk management entries to reconcile and settle all transactions accurately and timely; Communicate with the Desk daily to confirm liquidity requirements

  • Work with internal counterparties to ensure financing is completed accurately and timely

  • Act as a liaison between the Firm and external clients/vendors to process monthly servicing tasks timely and accurately; Work with the Desk daily to ensure data integrity within the risk management system

  • Liaise with custodians to ensure the accuracy of inventory/collateral reports; Reconcile and process monthly remittance reports from servicers, including interim reports

Skills You'll Need

  • Moderate finance experience; mortgage lending experience is a plus

  • Associate's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, and SharePoint for tracking, documentation, and coordination; Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation templates) and familiarity with operational reporting

  • Clear, professional, and concise communication when navigating challenging discussions to achieve resolution. This also includes the ability to prioritize and manage workload under time constraints

  • A risk and compliance mindset, with a commitment to internal control standards and audit readiness

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville, FL office.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $65,000 - $78,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
