Pay & Benefits:

  • Pay of $34.73 to $34.73 per hour*. With the opportunity for future increase per applicable collective bargaining agreement wage scale. Opportunities for overtime and shift premiums.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance, dismantling, altering, repairing and erecting of buildings, hangars, ground offices, office equipment, in and about the Maintenance Facility
  • Will work with field equipment and perform duties generally performed by plumbers, painters, sheet metal workers, electricians, carpenters, machinists, welders, heating and air conditioning systems, and all electrical and control circuits pertaining to all the plant, building and facility installations
  • Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be familiar with basic city codes
  • Ability to read and comprehend architectural blue prints and commercial wiring diagrams
  • Ability to follow instructions, learn, understand, and comply with building codes pertaining to structural building maintenance
  • Ability to to write accurate and complete summaries of work accomplished on required forms and keep daily, weekly, and monthly record on various systems
  • Must be aware of possible hazardous situations and be able to handle emergencies as required
  • Must work under specified deadlines and time constraints to meet the demands of facilities maintenance
  • Ability to work well with others as part of a team under stressful situations
  • Must be able to perform all job functions in a limited space and in hazardous areas
  • Must be able to communicate information and instruction, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work some overtime if needed
  • Must possess the basic tools required for routine facilities maintenance

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED

Experience

  • Required: 2 years of experience in commercial plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, general carpentry, and heating/welding experience
  • Preferred: HVAC knowledge
  • Preferred: Ability to learn new computer systems like MXi and MX connections

Licensing/Certification

  • N/A

Physical Abilities

  • Must be able to move items up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Must be able to climb, bend, crawl and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods and work in cramped or confined spaces
  • Must be able to work from heights occasionally

Other Qualifications

  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
