What role will you play?

Serve within Finance & Tax division in Financial Management, People & Engagement group with primary responsibility for leading and overseeing preparation and review of financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements; managing audit requirements; leading and overseeing performance of periodic balance sheet and profit and loss analytical reviews; identifying and investigating variances and trends;; coordinating with business teams and external auditors to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting and filing; leading and overseeing performance of legal entity capital management activities; managing monthly and quarterly deliverables; supporting and managing entity funding, impairment reviews, and capital management activities; preparing and presenting entity results, annual accounts, and audit findings to senior stakeholders, including board of directors; assisting Tax Reporting team by providing legal entity performance drivers and fluctuations analysis and supporting preparation of tax returns and regular tax payments; leading and overseeing operations of Executive/Carry entities, manage bookings within these entities, and ensure efficient and effective management; and conducting comprehensive reviews of Macquarie asset management private market division's investment valuations on half-yearly basis and provide detailed reports and insights on valuation assessments to senior management.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Business Administration, Commerce, or Economics) and 5 years of experience in job offered or 5 years of experience in accounting or auditing within financial services
  • In alternative, equivalent of Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Business Administration, Commerce, or Economics) based on evaluation of education and experience by certified evaluation service, such as NACES or AICE member
  • Prior experience must include 3 years preparing and reviewing financial statements to ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and relevant regulatory requirements
  • 3 years performing legal entity management, including conducting periodic analytical reviews, identifying and investigating variances and trends, and providing detailed recommendations for improvement
  • 3 years performing equity accounting, including collaborating with asset managers and producing valuations for each investment
  • Must hold Certified Public Accountant, Certified Chartered Accountant, or Chartered Accountant designation.
Salary range for this position: $110,000 to $130,000. Within this salary range the base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
