Job Description

We are seeking an organized, proactive, and team-orientedAssistant Supervisor to support the O&M Utility Shop, Transportation, and Parking Department. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day operations, scheduling, and general administrative tasks while ensuring effective coordination across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, estimate, and schedule daily tasks for Utility Shop employees and shuttle drivers.
  • Create and manage work orders using SAP/R3.
  • Supervise a crew of ~20 employees in a union environment, including:

    • 12 CDL/Heavy Equipment drivers
    • 7 Utility Workers


  • Oversee the Transportation Department, including 6 CDL shuttle drivers.
  • Manage grounds crew operations and daily visitor parking signage.


Coordinate with Project Managers and Site Supervisors to provide project support

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing employees in an O&M and unionized work environment.
  • Knowledge of DOT/CDL regulations, interstate, and intrastate trucking compliance.
  • Experience with moving office furniture, scientific equipment, and rigging.
  • Strong knowledge of seasonal groundskeeping and commercial snow removal operations.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (Outlook, Word, etc.).
  • Experience with SAP/R3 work order management.
  • Completion or active enrollment in supervisory development or facility maintenance coursework preferred.


Hiring Range: $81,600 - $106,800
Job Grade: Adm-07
