JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Respond promptly to internal requests and be available for emergency maintenance, repairs, or snow removal as needed.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment such as forklifts and aerial work platforms.
  • Perform general building maintenance, including painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, HVAC, and mechanical work.
  • Handle custodial tasks and maintain janitorial supply inventory.
  • Maintain tools and equipment; use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
  • Move, assemble, disassemble, and store office furniture and equipment.
  • Assist the Fleet Coordinator with vehicle service and repairs; must hold a valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Support internal customers and manage Occupancy Help Desk requests.
  • Read and work from plans, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Perform additional duties as needed, such as mail pickup, fuel tank inspections and readings, and restroom maintenance.

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school, General Education Degree (GED) and/or Vocational School Diploma is required.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in one or more of the skilled trades
  • Excellent knowledge of tools and equipment associated with the building and construction trades.
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA standards; ability to operate forklifts, aerial work platforms and other equipment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills; both verbal and written.
