The A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns about Falls - Virtualis an evidence-based fallprevention program, offered online to older adults. The Health Training Specialist promotes, maintains, and improves individual and community health by providing coaching to participants across the MaineHealth service area. The Training Specialist is responsible for delivering this monthly 9-session program to participants in a virtual group setting. Health Training Specialists will be trained and responsible for the delivery of the curriculum. This is a per-diem position consisting of morning/early afternoon hours, 1-3 days per week for up to but not exceeding 10 hours per week.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Health Education, Public Health or a closely related field preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Certified Health and Wellness Coach preferred.
  3. Experience: Experience in nutrition and/or physical activity preferred.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: ability to facilitate large and small groups and public speaking skills
