Description

Georgia United Credit Union regularly evaluates market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to offer the best, competitive compensation package for our positions. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, internal alignment and other job-related factors.

Starting salary $23.50 per hour depending on experience and qualification.


Essential Duties:

  • Review delinquent mortgage and home equity accounts for foreclosure eligibility.
  • Monitor and track delinquent mortgage loans greater that 90 days delinquent and provide ongoing status updates to leadership operations.
  • Manage queue of 45+ Internal delinquent Helocs which consists of making outbound calls to members with delinquent Helocs
  • Assist with mailing Hud/Scra letters to members
  • Assist with outbound/inbound calls, process payments, make payment arrangements
  • Coordinate with attorneys and sub servicers to initiate and monitor foreclosure proceedings.
  • Ensure all foreclosure actions comply with applicable laws, regulations, and the terms of the Security Deed
  • Prepare foreclosure recommendation packages including approval requests, legal notices, and sale authorizations to leadership
  • Maintain accurate records of foreclosure status, borrower communications, and legal filings.
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal and external counsel on foreclosure-related matters
  • Support the REO (Real Estate Owned) process by facilitating property evaluations, coordinating with realtor and attorneys to manage the eviction process & post eviction process which includes property maintenance, review & evaluate offers
  • Coordinate eviction proceedings when necessary, including dispossessory actions and sheriff involvement
  • Monitor bankruptcy filings and collaborate with bk legal specialist and external attorney to determine foreclosure feasibility
  • Review of hardships/Loan modifications, shorts sales for sub-servicers
  • Coordinate with accounting regarding any new Real Estate owned property bought back by the credit union
  • Ensure proper tracking of 1099-A form
  • Evaluate property equity and market value using multiple valuation sources (e.g., Zillow, Redfin, Homegenius) to support foreclosure decisions
  • Work closely with collectors, recovery specialists, and lending operations to minimize losses and ensure cohesive handling of delinquent accounts
  • Meet regularly with attorney/ sub servicers to obtain status updates
  • Other duties as assigned
