Title: Service Technician
Reports To: Service Manager
Pay Rate: $30.00 - $48.00 per hour
This information represents our good faith estimate of the base salary range for this position upon hire, based on available data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on geographic location. Individual pay is determined by additional factors including job related skills, experience, applicable education or training and other relevant factors.
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining motor coaches and other commercial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains motorcoaches, commercial and non-commercial vehicles, and other vehicles or machines as directed.
- Adhere to proper Cummins warranty process and procedures, including following the correct steps and documentation for filing warranty claims.
- Ability to interpret and apply technical manuals, guidelines, and service bulletins.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment, free from hazards and unnecessary noise which could lead to distractions from the work at hand.
- Understands and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures
- Maintains compliance with all local, State, and Federal regulations applicable to operations, buildings, grounds, and personnel including but not limited to EPA, OSHA, and DOT.
- Specific duties and responsibilities will change as the company adapts to future trends in the business but include the requirement to clearly document all repairs made on work orders using shop computers and associated software.
- Must accurately maintain and track time and attendance.
- Must work to expand knowledge and skill levels needed to perform maintenance and repairs effectively and efficiently on both customer and internal vehicles.
- Maintain a valid DOT Medical Card and perform road calls as needed, including travel to customer locations to diagnose and perform repairs on-site.
- Ability to demonstrate maturity and self-respect while upholding ABC's core values at all times.

Qualifications:
- Diesel experience
- Motor Coach and transit bus experience
- CNG experience, strong understanding of CNG fuel systems and troubleshooting of CNG engines
- Requires good organizational skills to include the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments within expected time frames
- Employee must possess the tools necessary to complete assigned responsibilities
- Previous experience with Body and Frame Repairs
- Experience with Interior Component repair/replacement
- Audio/Video knowledge recommended not required
- Must be able to perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Must be able to identify parts needed to effect repairs on vehicles being worked on
- CDL Class B recommended not required
Skills:
- Must be a self-starter and possess a positive attitude
- Must have a good attendance
- Must be willing to travel, with possible work on the weekends/overtime
Physical Demands:
- Ability to move items weighing at least 100 pounds
- The person in this position needs to move constantly for extended periods of time (80-100% of shift)
- Ability to work in and outdoors for extended periods of time
