Job Summary

The Chaplain is responsible for the provision of spiritual care services for Heartland Coca-Cola employees. The Chaplain partners with leaders to understand the current culture and needs of the employees across the organization, while cultivating trust in every interaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide spiritual service to employees during life events such as birth of a child, weddings, retirements, and anniversaries. Provide spiritual service to employees and their families during health care and hospice needs. Be present for the families during times of bereavement which may include counseling, assisting with arrangements, or officiating a service.
  • Serve the Heartland employees through a presence of care. Actively and empathetically listen to the needs of the employees. Visit site locations when appropriate and attend company events where employees are gathered to interact and provide the ministry of presence. Provide opportunities for employees to join and participate in prayer.
  • Be present and provide resources for employees and families of employees during life crises events. Resources may include referrals to the EAP, counselors, specialized entities, or literature to read in the areas of need. May also recommend grief support groups, local churches, or accountability programs.
  • Meet continuing education requirements to maintain clergy license.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of four years of work experience in the field as a pastor, corporate chaplain, hospice, or counseling. Degree focus in Theology, Social Work, or Psychology.
  • Certification and ongoing education are required in the use of counseling tools related to understanding emotions and fostering connections with employees.
  • Ability to provide spiritual support to employees and family members.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and family members, utilizing effective communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic computer and keyboard skills.
  • Ability to work independently, plan and organize workload efficiently.
  • Valid Driver's License, current vehicle liability insurance, driving record within policy guidelines.

Pay:$61,787 - $73,372 a year
