We are currently seeking a dynamic Insurance Account Specialist to join our vibrant team at our residential outpatient treatment center.

As an Insurance Account Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business offices throughout the healthcare revenue cycle. What You'll Do:

  • Engage with patients through inbound and outbound calls, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Assist patients with inquiries, process payments, and set up payment plans while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Verify billing information and ensure timely resolution of claims by collaborating with various departments.
  • Review Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and Itemized Bills (IB) with patients, ensuring transparency and understanding.
  • Uphold Newport Healthcare's regulations regarding payment methods and patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA standards.
  • Document all patient interactions thoroughly and accurately, maintaining high productivity and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management to foster a cooperative and supportive work environment.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
Experience in physician and/or per diem billing preferred.
2-3 years' experience in insurance or patient collections.

Knowledge:
Working knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies from insurance payers and patients.

Technical Skills:
Ability to use various EHR and clearinghouse systems, as well as other tools available to collect payments and resolve accounts.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.

Team Player:
Ability to work well individually and in a team environment.

Organizational Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and written skills.

Hours: 9AM-6PM CST

100% remote
