Director, Head of eMacro CRB Technology

What is the opportunity?

The role is to work with the Front Office eFX and eRates groups in the trading business to ensure that algo trading asks are prioritized and ring-fenced within the QTS organization, particularly around the buildout of automated trading e-books and a central risk book. The candidate will lead the build out of key trading strategies and algos, both via individual contribution and technical leadership. The ideal candidate be able to contribute to core engineering on automated trading strategies and infrastructure in support of algo trading. The candidate should be technical and hands-on, as well as be able to lead projects. Such technical leadership is critical for building out our e-books and central risk book across Rates and FX. Finally, the ideal candidate should have a relentless commercial focus to ensure that the buildout of automated trading infrastructure and strategies support a growing business and generate revenue around our electronic trading capability.

What will you do?

• Work with key stakeholders across Rates and FX to ensure we are building trading strategies and algos to the correct specification and in order to generate revenue for the electronic trading business.

• Personally contribute to the development effort around pricing, hedging, and execution strategies as well as lead the development effort of others around the candidate.

• Design and implement key builds across the eMacro space for the needs of the desk as well as key electronic trading capabilities for the various algo teams.

• Lead the buildout of e-books across eMacro and a central risk book to improve on our electronic trading business and franchise.

• Contribute to core engineering around electronic trading infrastructure and the deployment of automated trading strategies.

• Ensuring high standards and quality of technical work. Directing reviews of tools and technologies for improving performance and reducing costs.

• Directing and managing the delivery of large or complex application development projects. Defining strategies and client needs focused on technology development.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

• Hands on experience building algo trading platforms, both on hands-on development and leadership of teams around automated e-trading

• 15+ years of Java development experience

• Expertise with Rates or FX trading systems

Nice to Have:

• Experience with building out eMacro e-books and automated trading strategies is a plus.

The Expected Salary Range For The Above Position Is $210,000 - $275,000 Depending On Factors Including But Not Limited To The Candidate's Experience, Skills, Registration Status; Market Conditions; And Business Needs.This Salary Range Does Not Include Other Elements Of Total Compensation, Including A Discretionary Bonus And Benefits Such As A 401(K) Program With Company-Matching Contributions; Health, Dental, Vision, Life And Disability Insurance; And Paid Time-Off Plan.
