Job Title:Accounting Manager
Location:Houston, TX (Hybrid - 4 days in office)

Role Highlights:

  • Lead month-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting

  • Manage accounting for prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, asset leasing, and intercompany transactions

  • Drive efficiency through implementation, maintenance, and optimization of financial systems (e.g., AX, D365, OneStream)

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop 2 direct reports

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve accounting processes and internal controls

A Day in the Life:

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports

  • Analyze financial results, variances, and trends to provide actionable insights

  • Maintain GAAP-compliant documentation and ensure internal control adherence

  • Oversee financial systems, ensuring effective integration, reporting, and continuous improvement

  • Identify automation opportunities to streamline accounting processes

  • Provide coaching, feedback, and career development for accounting staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • CPA highly preferred
  • 8+ years of accounting experience, including management or highly technical roles

  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP and internal controls

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365, OneStream, or similar financial systems

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management abilities
