Position Summary: The Demand Planning Manager plays a critical role within the Supply Chain organization, owning the development, accuracy, and continuous improvement of demand forecasts across products, regions, and channels. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to translate market signals and business strategy into reliable demand plans that enable informed decision-making and strong customer service. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical mindset, deep demand planning expertise, and a proven ability to drive alignment through data, insights, and structured planning processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Demand Forecasting & Analytics
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve short-, mid-, and long-term demand forecasts across multiple products, regions, and channels.
- Analyze historical performance, market trends, and key business drivers to improve forecast accuracy and identify demand risks and opportunities.
- Leverage statistical forecasting techniques and planning tools to enhance forecast quality and scalability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Product teams to align demand forecasts with commercial strategy and operational constraints.
- Serve as the primary owner and communicator of demand planning insights, assumptions, and risks.
- Facilitate demand planning inputs and discussions within the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to support enterprise alignment.
- Performance Management & Reporting
- Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to forecast accuracy, bias, and demand volatility.
- Deliver clear, actionable insights to leadership on forecast changes, variances, and demand trends.
- Support scenario planning and what-if analyses to inform decision-making.
- Process & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance demand planning processes, systems, and data quality.
- Implement best practices and standardized methodologies to improve forecast accuracy, transparency, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Contribute to broader supply chain planning maturity initiatives and system enhancements.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or related roles in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Proficiency in demand planning tools (e.g., SAP IBP, Oracle Demantra, or similar software) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Experience with S&OP processes and a track record of driving cross-functional alignment.
- APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
