Job Summary

Manage all administrative services within a GTRI Laboratory. Areas of responsibility include administrative duties associated with meeting/event planning, purchasing, human resources, records, space management, and security. This is a supervisory position, and is responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance, providing feedback, and making pay recommendations.

This position will interact on a consistent basis with: unit management and staff

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Develop/implement/revise administrative processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and alignment with lab and organizational strategy.

Job Duty 7 -
Coordinate purchasing activities including ordering and maintaining supplies and promotional items, payment reconciliation, and PCard requests

Job Duty 8 -
Collaborate with Research Security to coordinate security processes within the lab, including classified event logistics, visitor requests, badge access requests, security clearance requests, and SCI/CAC card requests

Job Duty 9 -
Serve as a representative for senior lab leaders and act as a resource for lab employees, providing process guidance; may also serve on committees and lead or participate in special assignments, as needed

Job Duty 10 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Job Duty 2 -
Act as delegated authority in some matters of significance on behalf of the Lab Director

Job Duty 3 -
Manage and/or oversee assigned staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and assessing performance

Job Duty 4 -
Manage the daily activities of senior lab leadership, including full responsibility for calendar management/scheduling and preparing necessary documentation/reporting, as required, for upcoming appointments, meetings, travel (including expense and reconciliation), events, and documents requiring the Lab Director's approval, etc.

Job Duty 5 -
Manage scheduling, coordination, execution and all aspects of meeting, workshop, and event planning for the lab

Job Duty 6 -
Oversee lab human resources administrative functions, including scheduling candidate interviews, gathering associated pre-hire documents, processing transactions, ensuring time reporting, coordinating student hires, and facilitating lab onboarding/offboarding

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Six to eight years of job-related experience

Preferred Education: Master's Degree
Preferred Work Experience: 8-10 years
Preferred Skills: Experience in processes and protocols associated with Government defense organizations is highly desirable with emphasis on experience supporting Senior Executive Services employees and their direct reports and/or a major sponsor organization. Experience working as employee of a large University

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This position requires supervisory and organization skills, knowledge of general office administrative processes and practices, records management and event planning. Use of office related computer applications is required.

Salary range is dependent on candidates experiences and skills that ranges from $72,783 - $98,986.
