For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants. This bonus will be prorated for part-time positions. The NICU/CCN in The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital is a 51 bed level lll-lV unit. This is the largest ICU in the state of Maine. We have single rooms with state-of-the-art equipment and work closely with all disciplines- surgical, cardiac, GI, genetics, renal, palliative care etc. We have Neonatologists and APP's covering 24/7 with a nursing staff of 150. We have an active critical care transport team and a nurse driven PICC Team.Neonatal Intensive Care Unit -31 beds & Continuing Care Nursery - 20 Beds

The Nursing Unit Secretary role performs clerical, receptionist, and transporter duties.

  • Full-time, 36-hours per week
  • Day shift 0700-1930
  • every third weekend rotation - Friday and Saturday night (assigned weekend group), every third holiday group rotation (major summer/major winter).
  • Self-scheduling system
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current BLS certification preferred or may be required based on location.
  3. Experience: One year of hospital or health care setting preferred.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
