ChristianaCare is seeking an innovative, collaborative Advanced Practice Clinician to lead the strategic development, implementation, and growth of our Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Fellowship programs. The APC Fellowship Program Manager will oversee all aspects of a multi-specialty, systemwide fellowship designed to support, develop, and elevate Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) as they transition into clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Administration:

  • Provide overall leadership of the APC Fellowship programs, including budgeting, program development, recruitment, curriculum design, and placement.
  • Lead the accreditation journey for multi-specialty fellowship programs.
  • Ensure program alignment with specialty standards of care, competency requirements, and educational best practices.
  • Promote organizational enculturation and professional socialization for learners.
  • Develop practicebased learning experiences to foster competency and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with service line and clinical leaders to complete OPPE/FPPE evaluations and support credentialing requirements.
  • Mentor, support, and evaluate APC Fellows and APC Fellowship Coordinators.
  • Provide an annual program report to stakeholders and maintain program metrics.
  • Coordinate with Compliance and IT to ensure standardized documentation processes.
  • Maintain strong collaborative relationships with service line leaders, nursing leadership, medical leadership, and academic partners.
  • Support APC professional development across the system.
  • Evaluate opportunities for new fellowship tracks and program expansion.

Clinical Practice:

  • Perform clinical responsibilities including rounding, physical assessment, care planning, and evaluation within scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based care.
  • Order, interpret, and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as credentialed.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in population health and service line performance initiatives.
  • Educate and counsel patients and families using effective learning principles.
  • Contribute to best-practice development, quality improvement, and research initiatives.
  • Provide excellent patient experience and support efforts to improve satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree and board certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse or
    completion of a Physician Assistant program with board certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Clinician.
  • Licensure as an APRN or PA in Delaware.
  • Prescriptive privileges (DEA/CSR).
  • BLS certification, (ACLS depending on specialty)
  • Strong understanding of APC scope of practice and adult learning principles.
  • At least 2 years of educational(fellowship coordinator) and/or leadership experience preferred
  • Doctoral degree preferred
    Annual Compensation Range $121,180.80 - $193,897.60 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
