What to Expect
The New Programs Engineering team works at the leading edge of vehicle design and development, working in an iterative environment to study, simulate, build, and prove Tesla's future generation of vehicles. This position will interact with many cross-functional teams from the Design and Vehicle Engineering teams in creating different prototypes for engineering development. This is not a narrow scope technician role - you will be constantly challenged to learn and adapt to create and maintain a wide context of the first ever Tesla prototype vehicles, engineering fleet vehicles, and test apparatus. This is a dynamic role of high variety, impact, and responsibility. You will not find a technician role with more access to early-stage vehicle development. The exemplary candidate has a deep desire to create and maintain high quality prototype vehicles and test apparatus for Aero, Design, and Vehicle Engineering. They are forward-looking, critical of their own work, and are tireless in improving space, process, and tooling. They care enough to have an opinion but crave getting and giving effective feedback.
