Job Summary

The Medical Professional Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and completing provider enrollment activities for employed practitioners within Corewell Health. This role ensures that all physicians and advanced practice providers are accurately enrolled with contracted health plans and compliant with regulatory standards. The coordinator supports departmental operations through detailed data management, administrative functions, and crossdepartment communication. This position plays a key role in protecting organizational revenue by ensuring timely enrollment and resolving issues that impact claims, provider participation, and billing integrity.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate and complete provider enrollment applications for employed physicians and advanced practice providers.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of enrollment materials to all contracted health plans.
  • Maintain compliance with government and commercial payer requirements, organizational policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor enrollment status to prevent delays that could impact claims, billing, or provider participation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential enrollment records and documentation.
  • Ensure integrity of databases and billing systems by entering consistent, precise information.
  • Serve as a resource to internal teams regarding enrollment requirements, payer guidelines, and process updates.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all provider and organizational information.
  • Stay current on guidelines, policies, and best practices related to provider enrollment and payer requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of relevant experience a hospital, clinic, physician or professional payer credentialing office

Preferred

  • Associate's Degree
