The Program Coordinator, Network Strategy is responsible for supporting the execution of strategic projects for the Network Strategy team, including interfacing with cross-functional project teams for end-to-end provider transformation and system improvements. The Network Strategy team is responsible for negotiating and maintaining provider contracts across all lines of business, including Strategic Planning and Performance, and Provider Data Ecosystem projects. The Program Coordinator, Experienced, will report to the Senior Manager, Strategic Planning and Performance. In this role you will be responsible for supporting ongoing projects and programs to ensure alignment with Blue Shield of CA's strategy and company objectives, as well as interdependence of other business units. You will also gather, analyze, and report actual results against plan and support of Network Governance workgroups.

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Requires at least 3 years of prior relevant experience

  • Project Management certification preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, directors, managers, and subject matter experts

  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint in preparing and making presentations to various levels of management

  • Knowledge of Blue Shield of CA or similar health care organization structure

  • Experience creating multi-year program roadmaps, facilitating project planning activities, and/or developing and implementing tools and processes to manage and track performance of strategic initiatives

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a virtual team and adapt to a culture of learning and innovation

  • Ability to function independently and produce results that meet standards of quality, timeliness, and acceptability
