The Community Liaison (Marketing) directly serves as the liaison between the facility, the community, and referring agencies. The Community Liaison (Marketing) is directly responsible for creating demand for the facility's services through the effective application of ethical marketing principles and sales methods.

In collaboration with the Director of Business Development and Business Development Team, the Community Liaison presents a positive and professional public image of the facility within the community.

The Community Liaison is responsible for the implementing the facility's strategic sales plan, enhancing the facility's brand/image, effectively managing their assigned territory and accounts, and works to achieve departmental and facility business development goals. The Community Liaison (Marketing) must be able to demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience and dedication in a fast-paced environment.

Hours are based on departmental, and facility needs and may include day, evening and weekend hours, as directed by the Director of Business Development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field or equivalent work experience.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years experience in a health care business development management environment with measurable business development results, and a knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles, preferred.

Licensure: Must have a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain new accounts and markets as directed by the Director of Business Development.
  • Maintain and lend customer support to designated number of referral source contacts per week, as set forth in a 30-day plan from Director of Business Development.
  • Maintain current account information (via the customer profile), and update as required.
  • Maintain primary contact with all customer assigned accounts through personal visits, telephone calls and letters/mailers on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain current awareness of changes in the industry through self-education, peer education, and professional and community involvement of the betterment of this position and the facility.
  • Participate actively in the weekly Business Development team meetings to reduce duplication of efforts (i.e., setting up joint calls with the CEO and other business development staff, overall participation in the marketing efforts) and coordinate response to referral source as indicated regarding their clients while patients in our systems.
  • Promote the team concept within the facility.
  • Participate in the continuous analysis of the changing health care environment and health care market.
  • Attend scheduled department meetings to provide the Director with timely reports on month-end reviews, client servicing schedules, customer sales forms, and other reporting requirements.
  • Attend in-house planning and development committee meetings, as requested.
  • Adhere to facility, department, corporate, personnel and standard policies and procedures.
  • Attend all mandatory facility in-services and staff development activities as scheduled.
  • Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance and punctuality.
  • Support facility-wide quality/performance improvement goals and objectives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of facility employees and patient information.
  • Completion of requested reports on a timely basis.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills.
