Summary
Responsible to evaluate, install, test, calibrate, and repair biomedical equipment; completing preventive maintenance schedules; conducting tests; following manufacturer instructions; troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions; improving equipment performance; providing biomedical equipment analyses and reports; training users; maintaining safe operations. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Documents equipment maintenance actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. -Inspects, trouble-shoots and repairs clinical equipment systems and electronic equipment. -Provides support to ensure that clinical equipment meets safety requirements and safety checks loaner equipment prior to use in facilities. -Performs preventive maintenance on equipment. -Completes work orders and documents completion of work orders and outcomes. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Some High School Completed Electronics preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience experience with equipment maintenance/repair 1-2 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Intermediate problem solving skills. - Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. - General computer knowledge with intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Internet preferred. - Basic tool knowledge across all categories. - Basic understanding of SPC principles Knowledge of controls and electric (AC - DC low voltage).
