The Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, building strong relationships with brokers and clients, and contributing to the strategic direction of the department.

Responsibilities:

* Develops and implements strategies to identify business opportunities and drive targeted and profitable growth
* Builds and manages a pipeline of distributor sales opportunities, including new relationships
* Utilizes management information, metrics, analytics, and reports to inform external engagement and messaging
* Interacts with counterparts across the organization to bring a full range of products, services, and solutions to clients and brokers
* Supports engagement and collaboration with teams outside of the department, including Strategic Business Solutions, Cross Platform, Marketing Communications, and Broker Relationship Leaders
* Prepares for high-level meetings with brokers, distribution partners, and senior leadership, including meeting and presentation preparation and report writing
* Able to make decisions that require creativity and independent judgment, including:
* Resolving complex problems and developing innovative solutions
* Adapting to changing circumstances and priorities
* Recommending changes to procedures and practices
* Identifying and mitigating risks

Qualifications:

* 7+ years of Sales and Production Underwriting, P&C Brokerage, Distribution, and/or Broker or Client Management experience
* Strong marketing and analytical skills
* Property and Casualty insurance lines experience
* Exceptional communication skills that energize and engage clients and colleagues, with the ability to convey a vision and client-focused solutions
* Excellent negotiation and consultative skills which can be deployed at any level of an organization, including creativity, emotional intelligence, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
* Tech savviness and a willingness to experiment with and learn new technologies
* Ability to think strategically and function tactically
* Willingness to travel 30%+

The Company is open to considering candidates in numerous locations, including Chicago (IL), New York (NY), Atlanta (GA), or Princeton (NJ). The salary range posted below reflects market variations across various locations. The offer will be adjusted per geography.

The base salary range anticipated for this position is $138,400 - $230,700 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).

The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in New York City and San Francisco. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
