Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patient Care Patrol in Wexford, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional at a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and partner with site leaders and teammates. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, hospital policies, and site-specific post orders, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical facility emergencies, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or public service partners as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout hospital buildings, clinics, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter, noting and reporting conditions that could lead to loss, disruption, and/or harm.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, helping to manage entry procedures, provide directions, and/or assist with locating departments while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete required reports and logs for patrols, incidents, and/or unusual activity, and support investigations by documenting observations and relevant details per site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be willing to comply with hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
