Boring Bar Operator Responsibilities: - Set up, align, and secure large, irregular workpieces for machining - Operate boring bars to bore, mill, turn, face, groove, recess, taper, drill, tap and countersink materials - Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds and machining sequences - Use personal machinist tools and precision measuring instruments - Adjust machines to maintain exact tolerances - Read and interpret drawings, prints and specifications - Make layouts, establish reference points and determine boring locations - Ensure dimensional accuracy and adherence to production standards - Machine parts to exact tolerances - Inspect work throughout the machining process - Operate within established standard operating procedures - Maintain quality and productivity standards - Maintain a clean and organized work area Requirements for Boring Bar Operator: - Experience operating boring bar equipment - Overhead crane experience - Strong blueprint reading skills - Ability to use precision measuring instruments - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Reliable attendance - Self-motivated with a strong work ethic IND010 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
