Responsibilities: Install Cat6 network cabling and pre?terminated single?mode and multi?mode fiber Perform fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure high?performance connectivity Work with LC and MPO fiber connectors Dress and organize cables using proper wire?management techniques, including cable trays and ladder racks Rack and stack network switches, servers, and other data center hardware Accurately label all cables and components to maintain clean documentation Read and interpret data center layouts, network diagrams, and technical blueprints Ensure all work meets industry standards for quality, reliability, and safety Requirements: Minimum 1 year of hands?on experience in data center environments Proven experience installing Cat6 and fiber optic cabling Fiber splicing experience required Experience testing fiber using light meters and OTDRs preferred Familiarity with LC and MPO connectors Working knowledge of telecom and data infrastructure BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus Must have basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi?vis vest, steel?toe boots) Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Willingness to travel to job sites within Texas as needed Why Work with Next Level Technician in San Antonio, TX?
