Low Voltage Technician - Fiber Optics \| Winston-Salem, NC Join Next Level Technician as a Low Voltage Fiber Technician in Winston-Salem, NC! Responsibilities: Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cable Test installed copper cabling (Fluke or similar testers) Install, terminate, splice, and test fiber optic cable (single-mode and multi-mode) Perform fiber testing using OTDR, light source, and power meter Punch down voice and data jacks Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, etc. Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights) Read and interpret blueprints/system layouts Install/support access control, CCTV, audio visual, and fiber optic systems Requirements: 2+ years commercial/industrial low voltage experience Experience with structured cabling, voice/data, fiber optic, or security systems preferred Experience with fiber termination, splicing, and testing equipment strongly preferred BICSI, Lift, OSHA, or Fiber certifications a plus Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots) Working knowledge of telecom/data networks Willingness to travel to job sites within North Carolina as needed Why Work with Next Level Technician in Winston-Salem, NC?
