Lead Low Voltage Technician - Structured Cabling & Systems Integration

Responsibilities:


  • Serve as the on?site lead for structured cabling and systems integration projects
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technicians, customers, and on?site stakeholders
  • Oversee daily installation activities and ensure work is completed on time and within scope
  • Install, terminate, and test structured cabling, fiber optic cabling, and low?voltage systems
  • Lead teams of technicians, assign tasks, and ensure proper installation methods and quality
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and system layouts
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cabling or system issues quickly and effectively
  • Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and system programmers
  • Track materials, verify deliveries, and maintain accurate jobsite documentation
  • Ensure adherence to company safety policies, jobsite rules, and industry best practices
  • Provide field training and mentorship to junior technicians



Requirements:


  • 3+ years of low?voltage installation experience (structured cabling, security, AV, or systems integration)
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring a team of technicians
  • Strong knowledge of copper and fiber installation, terminations, and testing
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floorplans, rack elevations, and system docs
  • Industry certifications (BICSI, manufacturer?specific, or OSHA) are a plus
  • Proficiency with cable testers, hand tools, and low?voltage installation equipment
  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of material tracking, installation documentation, and jobsite standards
  • Ability to work from ladders and lifts and travel to job sites within North Carolina
