Responsibilities:
- Serve as the on?site lead for structured cabling and systems integration projects
- Act as the primary point of contact for technicians, customers, and on?site stakeholders
- Oversee daily installation activities and ensure work is completed on time and within scope
- Install, terminate, and test structured cabling, fiber optic cabling, and low?voltage systems
- Lead teams of technicians, assign tasks, and ensure proper installation methods and quality
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and system layouts
- Troubleshoot and resolve cabling or system issues quickly and effectively
- Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and system programmers
- Track materials, verify deliveries, and maintain accurate jobsite documentation
- Ensure adherence to company safety policies, jobsite rules, and industry best practices
- Provide field training and mentorship to junior technicians
Requirements:
- 3+ years of low?voltage installation experience (structured cabling, security, AV, or systems integration)
- Prior experience leading or mentoring a team of technicians
- Strong knowledge of copper and fiber installation, terminations, and testing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floorplans, rack elevations, and system docs
- Industry certifications (BICSI, manufacturer?specific, or OSHA) are a plus
- Proficiency with cable testers, hand tools, and low?voltage installation equipment
- Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills
- Working knowledge of material tracking, installation documentation, and jobsite standards
- Ability to work from ladders and lifts and travel to job sites within North Carolina
