Job Description




As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol Driver in Maple Grove, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will perform routine patrols throughout the location, maintain a highly visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to reports with clear communication and a customer-service mindset. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy requirements. Bring teamwork, integrity, and an innovative, people-first approach to every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor and control access at assigned points, including verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, directing visitors, and maintaining visitor and/or vehicle logs as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate internal contacts and/or emergency services when directed by site procedures.
  • Document routine activities, observations, and incidents in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
