Reconstructive plastic surgery
GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate. Fast paced plastic surgery practice Hours: 8AM-4:30PM Monday through Friday (no weekends or holidays) Benefits: Full-Time Location: Detroit Main Campus EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation. Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty. Procedural experience preferred Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Experience with managing In-basket Direct Patient care required Experience assisting in procedures Experience obtaining authorizations Experience with patient intakes Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Preferred experience in the specialty. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. Minimum of 3+ Years as a Registered Nurse CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy. Additional Information
