Title: Automotive Technical Training Instructor

Location: Eastvale CA 91752 (onsite)
Duration: 9+ months, possible extension


Pay Range: $52/hr. - $54/hr.




  1. Travel Requirements:


    • Up to 25% travel may be required for training workshops, product training, and "train the trainer" sessions.
    • Domestic and international travel may be necessary, depending on course offerings and global training initiatives.




Job Title: Technical Training Instructor

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Technical Training Instructor to facilitate product knowledge and skills-based training for automotive technicians and shop foremen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong technical background, with the ability to engage adult learners in an interactive, hands-on learning environment. The goal of this role is to enhance the technical capabilities of dealership staff, improve overall performance, and foster a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:



  1. Training Delivery:


    • Conduct technical, product knowledge, and skill-based training programs for automotive technicians and foremen.
    • Deliver certification courses, product launch sessions, tactical programs, and customized training to meet dealer needs.
    • Ensure that all training sessions reflect the brand's identity and core values.


  2. Curriculum Development:


    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and update training materials and curricula.
    • Provide feedback on training programs to ensure they are aligned with industry trends and meet the needs of the dealership.


  3. Continuous Improvement:


    • Stay ahead of industry trends by attending automotive trade events, auto shows, and reading relevant publications.
    • Regularly assess the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for continuous improvement.


  4. Training Center and Fleet Management:


    • Oversee the maintenance and functionality of the training center and its equipment, ensuring all tools and resources are in good working condition.
    • Manage the training fleet, ensuring all vehicles are operational and available for use in training exercises.


  5. Collaboration and Support:


    • Work closely with regional and academy team members to assess training needs and ensure course offerings meet the demands of the dealerships.
    • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve training effectiveness and outcomes.




Required Experience & Skills:



  • Technical Automotive Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on automotive experience is required.
  • Teaching & Facilitation: Experience facilitating training in technical colleges, vocational programs, or similar settings is preferred.
  • Adult Learning Theory: Knowledge of adult learning principles and the ability to engage and motivate adult learners.
  • Process Improvement: Familiarity with process improvement principles to enhance training delivery.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent presentation, listening, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including dealership staff, regional teams, and internal departments.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of dealership operations, customer satisfaction strategies, and how technical skills contribute to dealership success.



Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Comfortable standing, bending, or working in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Capacity to perform hands-on tasks such as parts removal and installation as part of training exercises.



Work Environment and Flexibility:



  • The role requires up to 25% travel, both domestically and internationally.
  • Flexibility in work schedule may be required to accommodate dealer needs and training timelines.
