Intern - Civil Site Engineering

Program Timeframe: Mid-May through mid-August

At GFT, the site/civil design team is dedicated to creating efficient, innovative solutions for site improvements, ensuring a comprehensive design solution. From site planning through design, permitting and construction our site/civil design teams provides design solutions for an array of project types and clients. What you'll be challenged to do:

During your internship, you will work alongside a highly collaborative civil engineering team supporting a variety of public and private site development projects. You will receive guidance, supervision, and mentorship from experienced engineers and project managers with your professional growth as the priority. Many of our interns transition into full-time roles upon graduation.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Assist in the design of site improvements, including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management systems.
• Support preparation of engineering calculations, quantity take-offs, technical reports, and permit submission packages.
• Prepare and modify drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D under the direction of senior engineers.
• Coordinate with internal team members and participate in project meetings and training opportunities.
