Position Highlights

The College of Education Dean's Office seeks a .49 FTE position for an Administrative Associate.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, have excellent writing and verbal communication skills, and have a professional demeanor.

Also, the incumbent should be able to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and possess proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve as a resource and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new staff hires, including provisioning and orientation to college processes and procedures.
  • Assist with coordinating college and unit events, including meetings, managing logistics, preparing and sending invitations, room reservations, catering, and monitoring outcomes.
  • Support Assistant to the Dean with financial transactions.
  • Assist with administrative processes and resolve issues independently using knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Process financial transactions utilizing the appropriate systems.
  • Support graduate student offer letters and hiring process.
  • Maintain the College listservs for faculty and staff.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned, particularly alumni relations, marketing, and recruitment.
  • Staff office coverage for the Dean's Office.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • Ability to multitask, with an openness to re-prioritizing to meet the needs of the college and department.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate challenging topics to a variety of individuals.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience processing transactions in UAcess Financial.
  • Experience assisting with the coordination of events and meetings.

As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
