Department: MaineHealth Behavioral Health - Rockland & Belfast
Primary Location: 12 Union Street, Rockland, ME
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Schedule Type: Consistent schedule
(on-site position)

Position Summary

MaineHealth Behavioral Health is seeking a Patient Service Coordinator to join our highly functional, cross-coverage team in Rockland. This role manages complex scheduling for the practice and provides comprehensive administrative and office support for both patients and providers.

Our team is passionate about the care we deliver and works collaboratively to ensure patients receive timely, compassionate behavioral health services. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and is committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex scheduling for patients and providers across the practice

  • Coordinate appointments, referrals, and follow-up visits

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to clinical staff

  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and assist patients with professionalism and empathy

  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation is completed appropriately

  • Collaborate with team members to support cross-coverage needs and maintain smooth daily operations

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Two years of administrative patient service experience.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.
