As a Senior Accountant in Lafayette, you'll process invoices, track payments, and make the numbers behave. This role is perfect, especially if you enjoy tidying records, color-coded spreadsheets, and checking things off the list.

What's Required to Get Started

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including senior-level responsibilities
• Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting and GAAP
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Self-starter with strong initiative and problem-solving skills
• Highly self-motivated and results-oriented
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Effective communicator with cross-functional teams

What You'll Take On

Fixed Assets Management

• Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, disposals, transfers, and depreciation
• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger
• Ensure proper classification of capital expenditures in accordance with GAAP
• Manage monthly depreciation calculations and related journal entries
• Support physical inventory of fixed assets and asset tracking procedures
• Assist with capital expenditure budgeting and reporting

General Accounting

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis
• Support internal and external audits
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement efficiencies
