Your Team, Your Impact

The Advanced Packaging Yield & Data Engineer will play a critical role in driving yield improvement, data analytics, and process optimization across advanced packaging technologies for co-packaged optics products. This position blends domain expertise in semiconductor and optical packaging with strong data engineering and analytical capabilities to support high-volume manufacturing and technology development. The successful candidate will be able to leverage the latest in data engineering and analytics and establish robust yield reporting and improvement systems across the entire product lifecycle.

What You Can Expect

  • Select, implement and maintain scalable data pipeline solutions to collect, clean, and structure data
  • Partner with design, test, manufacturing and characterization leads to understand challenges and provide data analytics solutions
  • Integrate data from ATE (Automated Test Equipment), DFT (Design for Test), and fab & assembly process and reliability logs for comprehensive analysis
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing yield trends, analysis results, improvement opportunities, and project status for engineering and management stakeholders.
  • Drive or support data-driven predictive models and analytics methodologies (statistical analysis, machine learning, AI where applicable) to forecast yield behavior.
  • Enable engineering teams with self-serve data analytics tools at each IC level and at partner sites.

What We're Looking For

  • MS in CS/physical sciences/engineering and 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proven experience in semiconductor advanced packaging, including exposure to 2.5D/3D integration, fan-out, or other heterogeneous packaging formats.
  • Experience in managing data with third party vendors (preferably foundries and/or OSATs)
  • Experience with python/SQL/JMP for large data sets
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with packaging process, test, metrology, design, and external manufacturing partners.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving orientation with ability to lead root cause investigations and drive corrective actions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating machine learning or predictive analytics into early development and manufacturing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with advanced data warehousing or cloud analytics platforms used for large-scale data processing, including third-party data.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

158,600 - 234,650, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
