Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and highly organized Technical Writer to serve as a Program Documentation & Operations Coordinator supporting both technical documentation and day-to-day program execution activities. The selected candidate will lead the preparation and management of technical documentation while helping coordinate documentation workflows, operational processes, and internal communications acrossthe program teams. This role bridges technical and operational functions by ensuring information isaccurate, accessible, and aligned with mission priorities, enabling efficient collaboration and program continuity within a dynamic operational environment.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, revise, andmaintaintechnical documentation supportingeach programneeds,systems engineering, operational procedures, and user documentation.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation tailored to technical, operational, and leadership audiences.
  • Manage document lifecycle activities including version control, configuration alignment, formatting standards, and publication coordination.
  • Serve as a central coordination point for program documentation, ensuring consistency across engineering teams, deliverables, and repositories.
  • Support program operations through meeting coordination, agenda development, action item tracking, andmaintainingprogram schedules and documentation trackers.
  • Assistleadership with preparation of briefings, status reports, executive summaries, and internal communications products.
  • Maintain and organize shared repositories, templates, onboarding materials, and office processes to improve operational efficiency and knowledge continuity.
  • Coordinate with technical staff, program management, and stakeholders to ensure documentation supports evolving mission and operational requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Six (6) years' proven experience as a Technical Writer in programs and contracts of similar scope.
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline from accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional qualified experience as a Technical Writer may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Strong understanding of software and systems engineering concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor content for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiencywith technical writing and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, document management systems).
  • Demonstrated organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple documentation and administrative tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, program leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance to be considered for this role.
