The Senior Buyer - Finished Vehicle Logistics job responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Lead buyer within the Outbound transportation purchasing commodity group, overseeing strategic sourcing activities and key supplier relationships
  • Manage tender strategy and planning utilizing collaborative project management with internal stakeholders
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers
  • Manage and animate supplier contracts
  • Generate market intelligence and analysis to anticipate and mitigate supply risks in the medium/long term
  • Develop strategic and operational level relationships with major and strategic suppliers to achieve expected productivity and quality
  • Drive analysis and generate ideas to improve operational efficiency and add value

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration or closely related field
  • A minimum of 8 years of work experience in related fields
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategically
  • Project coordination & management experience
  • Strong communication, presentation and commodity leadership skills
  • Skilled at performing quantitative analysis
  • Well organized, rigorous, self-motivated & adaptable


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Business Administration or closely related field from an ABET accredited university
  • Familiarity with Finished Vehicle Logistics Supply Chain: Having a general understanding of transportation provider operations, service level requirements, network constraints, cost drivers, and key logistical touchpoints that influence sourcing decisions and contract performance
  • Strong knowledge of digital sourcing techniques and platforms
